Since about 2003, I have been posting writings almost daily. After a time of prayerful discernment, I have chosen not to post, until or if feeling an inner direction to return. The inner guidance is to open up space to wait for what Spirit wishes to put into my life. I do not know what that is, and it may be simply spending more time in Quiet, prayerful and mindful - we need persons who can prayerfully be in Silence for our world, persons who can hold the space for others and live that inner quietness in kindness and grace among others.

I read recently a late Zen monk who had written many years and said he would be okay with persons not reading his books, for that would give him more time to meditate. Also, he instructed that none of his books were to continue being published after his death. What he wrote resonates with me, for one of the most important things we can do presently is to be quietly, mindfully in peace and for peace. Our deepest prayers and mindful aspirations arise before words and do not necessitate words.

I - We - need fallow times. These are sabbaths. Our minds, hearts, and lives can easily become overcrowded and overworked. I urge you to take such times. Even sitting briefly and breathing deeply, mindfully a few times is a practice of fallowness - it welcomes rest, nourishment, and freshness.

I am grateful for the thousands of writings on this site. They do not belong to me, they belong to Life. Some I would not write again, as I have changed since writing them. This does not mean they are right or wrong; rather, they are witnesses to a pilgrim's thoughts, feelings, and aspirations at a point in time.

I, like you, can most enjoy my life by owning nothing, allowing whatever is given to pass through me as a gift given, not a thing gotten. The writings show a journey evolving, like life does, as we grow into and through seasons. I am hopeful many will find some of these past postings encouraging, inspiring, and motivating in this time in which we need so much to tend our inner selves and reach out in kindness toward all.

draws out the rose -
So Love awakens the heart
in Silence waiting

Peace be with you, and all!
